On March 8, 2023, the Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret hosted a meeting at his residence with foreign diplomats, Ukrainian military, volunteers, and journalists. The Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the attendees for their sacrifice, help, and love for Ukraine, emphasizing that the ongoing war is not a conflict between two countries but a war of Russia against Ukraine, Europe, America, and the entire civilized world.
During the meeting, the Patriarch awarded the Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusik and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki, as a token of gratitude for their tremendous support and assistance to Ukraine during this difficult time of Russian aggression.
The Estonian Ambassador Kaimo Kuusik thanked for the award and expressed his belief that unity makes them strong. Military servicemen, volunteers, and journalists were also awarded church distinctions for their charity, sacrifice, and love for Ukraine. The Patriarch expressed his hope that the Ukrainian people will soon defeat the Russian occupier and build a strong, independent, and prosperous Ukraine.

8 March 2023 – The Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret held a meeting with foreign diplomats, Ukrainian military, volunteers, and journalists at his residence. Among the attendees were the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusik, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki, representatives of the Military Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine, servicemen of the Security Service of Ukraine, volunteers, and journalists working on the front line.
The Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the guests for their sacrifice, help, and love for Ukraine. He emphasized that the ongoing war is not a conflict between two countries but a war of Russia against Ukraine, Europe, America, and the entire civilized world. In this war, Ukraine is the outpost of the civilized world. The Patriarch said that he was pleased that in these difficult times, they were all united, and if they were united, they were invincible. The Church is praying for everyone and thanking them for their help and sacrifice.
The Patriarch also expressed his deep gratitude to the Polish and Estonian peoples for their tremendous support and assistance to Ukraine and its people during this difficult time of Russian aggression. As a token of gratitude, the Patriarch awarded the Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker to the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki and the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusik.
